* E-media Director: Managed and executed electronic media campaigns including writing and designing e-newsletters, managing social media and website content.

* Writing Contest Director: Entries increased from 40 in 2006 to 1,450 in 2011. Oversaw the addition of two new contests (fiction, poetry). Managed publicity, logging entries, reading/judging process, and prizes.

* Director of “Late Night” Series: Successfully invented and executed a new series of programs designed to bring in younger and more diverse audiences. Moderated, emceed, directed, cast, programmed, coordinated, and/or produced various events such as Bedtime Stories, Literary Late Night, and Tennessee’s Got Talent.

* Writer/Editor: Wrote copy for multiple event descriptions in program book. Edited many varied print pieces throughout the year including yearly Festival schedule and program book. Worked with designers to create various pieces such as brochures, flyers, program books, and handbills.

* Box Office Supervisor: Managed phone, website and mail-in ticket orders. Directed box office during months leading up to yearly festivals and oversaw onsite box office during five-day festival. Trained and oversaw both in-office volunteer ticketing operators and volunteer box office staff of banking professionals. Helped to increase ticketing revenues yearly.

* Volunteer & Intern Supervisor

* Fundraiser: Successfully wrote grants to implement mp3 download store, to create a third full-time staff member position, and to diversify audiences.

* Membership Manager: Tasks included writing and designing, determining membership levels and benefits, managing mailings and processing all steps of incoming gifts, and maintaining gracious relationships with donors.

* Database Coordinator: Maintained accurate and efficient patron/donor database.

* Contact Builder: Grew patron contact list by several thousand in a few years.

 

Box Office Administrator/ Planner/ Organizer *  Saints and Sinners Literary Festival * New Orleans, LA * 2006-2011

The Saints and Sinners Festival is a co-production of the TWNOLF. Managed ticket sales, assisted with PR, wrote e-newsletters, wrote copy for event descriptions in yearly program books, moderator/emcee at many events, assisted with venue concerns and other event planning duties.
